Abstract:
This study aims to identify the requirements for activating e-learning and training platforms
for the development of academic leadership in Saudi universities, and to reveal global experiences in
relation to e-learning and training platforms, and then to submit proposals that contribute to the
activation of the role of education platforms. E-training to develop the performance of academic
leaders in Saudi universities. To achieve the objectives set for this study, the researcher used the
descriptive approach, focusing on the documentary analysis method (the office research method as
some methodological scientists call it). The study community was the academic leaders of Saudi
universities
The study concluded with a number of results, most notably: the need to focus on the
formation of teams consisting of specialists in the design of training programs and specialists in
information technology, programming, networks and information security, in order to complete their
efforts with technicians and academics, and to work the platforms of e-learning and training On the
marketing of its services from within universities, the study showed a number of diverse global
experiences in the field of e-education and training. The study presented proposals that contribute to
the development of e-training programs to comply with Saudi Arabia's development plans and move
to a knowledge-based economy, and the development of human resources in order to achieve the
Kingdom's Vision 2030
