CINNAMON NETWORK
Here at Cinnamon, we believe every church has the power to transform their community. For more than 10 years we’ve been helping churches to deliver outstanding projects that fight poverty, create safe places for children and young people, support families at risk and build stronger communities. Our work revolves around three core areas: incubation, impact and influence.
Impact
We make it as easy as possible for local churches to set up sustainable social action projects, find funding and get the right support and training to make a positive impact in their communities.
Incubation
We seek out effective grass-roots social-action projects and help them to develop so they can be replicated in churches across the country to benefit even more communities.
Influence
We create confidence in the work of the church in the public square, through research and events that demonstrate the effectiveness of church-led initiatives.
MERCERS’ COMPANY
The Mercers’ Company is a livery company focused on being a philanthropic force for good. We have a rich history dating back over 700 years with philanthropy as the common thread between our past, present and future. Our giving is focused on Young People & Education, Older People & Housing and Church & Communities. This allows us to create positive change across generations, giving those we help the chance to live a fulfilling life now and in the future.
The Company’s philanthropic focus lies with people living in communities with some of the biggest challenges in the UK – particularly in parts of London where there is significant inequality and in disadvantaged areas of the East and North East of England. In turn, The Company’s grants programmes place people at the heart and revolve around the themes of Young People & Education, Church & Communities and Older People & Housing.
