24 After a excellent one to one meeting with President Rtn. Roy Kandiappaserry and Secretary Rtn. Paul
Panjikaran, moved on to the projects. We first visited Assisi Bhavan Orphanage where provisions and
other materials worth 20000/- were handed over. We then moved on to their ongoing Global Grant
Project worth 60 lakhs at Mother Thersa Grillo Special School where a school bus was handed over. Under
the GG project they have planned a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room , furniture, computer lab, solar
energy system and other necessary requirements for the total change over of this special school. The
Club assembly was very interactive with many projects discussed. They gave their contribution towards
the Polio Fund with the Foundation contribution to follow.
AG Rtn. Davis parambi and GGR Rtn. Sebastian are doing a great job.
Sept ROTARY COCHIN CITY
25 The day started a lively interaction with President Ceejo Thomas and Secretary Sebastian Joseph on the
way to the “Drugs Free Zone” campaign at Fort Kochi by unveiling a sign board on Princess Street . This
will be one of the 8 signboards planned in the Fort Kochi area as a joint initiative of RC Cochin City and
Fort Kochi Police. Then we went to Ashwasa Bhavan Orphanage where the Club had recently supplied
kitchen appliances worth Rs. 80,000 and they plan to more. Had a lovely Club assembly at IMA hall.
The evening public function at Recca Club was well attended and their 16th Charter day was celebrated.
To commerate their Charter Day Rs. 25000 was contributed to the Foundation. Three new members
including a lady member were inducted.A new RCC at Chellanam was inaugurated as well as the
brochure for the club’s fund raising event, Carols n Carnival was released.
AG Rtn.Subramaniam Sitaraman and GGR Rtn. Sreeprasad are doing excellent work.
