Science Week
During Science Week, lab sessions for the Harvest primary classes continued with some of our Year 3-5 students taking part. They began their exploration of the idea of Innovation by watching the latest video about the Opener ‘BlackFly’, a personal drone-like aircraft. They then accepted the challenge of creating either the best paper plane or the best balloon powered car with many creative designs put to the test!

The final day of Science Week saw Miss Roocke’s Year 6 class and Miss Homan’s Year 4/5 class enjoy their time in the laboratory, where they submitted some excellent designs for the balloon rocket and wind turbine challenges! Our Foundation class also had their session and for many of these amazing young people it was their first time in a laboratory! All of our primary students also had the opportunity to make and take home their own ‘binary code’ bracelets. We are especially thankful for our secondary students who during the week did such an excellent job of helping the younger students with their Science Week activities!
