Balaklava Eisteddfod
Percussion Essemble
On Friday 4th August, Harvest Percussion Ensemble won First prize in the Intermediate Ensemble division at the Balaklava Eisteddfod, competing against schools from Adelaide.
Well done to the Percussion team for a fabulous effort.
Science Alive STEM Excursions
Adelaide Showgrounds
On Friday 4th August, two groups of students travelled to the Adelaide Showgrounds for Science Alive’s STEM Day Out. Our Year 8 students experienced the latest advances in virtual reality, piloted drones and robots, handled wildlife, visited defence displays, tried out some
engineering challenges, and more! They enjoyed this special event
which draws students from around the state. A group of Year 6-10 girls also travelled down to attend the Women in STEM seminar, which featured a panel of inspiring women working in STEM fields.
