Year 6 Camp
Sovereign Hill, Victoria
On Sunday 18th June, the Harvest Year 6 students left early to begin their camp at Sovereign Hill, Victoria. They began with a tour of the Eureka Centre, learning about the history of the Eureka Stockade in Ballarat. The students used digital tablets to explore key people who were involved in the battle and investigated the design of the real Eureka flag!
The students also visited an 1850s bowling alley, where miners would come to let off steam after a long week. To play, you need to put your feet on each side of the track and bowl a ball down the middle.
The trouble is, the balls are NOT round, and the track is NOT level. So it made it very difficult to score...
