 Science
In Year 9 Science, the students learned about Acids, Bases and Indicators. They used their laboratory skills and a bit of trial and error to create pH rainbows in test tubes. They needed to carefully add small amounts of an acid and small amounts of a base to obtain a visible spectrum of indicator colours!
In Year 7 Science, the students used the sun as a renewable resource to melt a smore, which turned out
to be quite a challenge. They had to ensure their solar ovens were up and running using principles of absorption, reflection and insulation, which created friendly competition with good (and not so good) results.
