7. All they did was just formality. Their

through the motions of performing the

rite of worship to be seen by men. And

they cared only about riches and worldly

honor.

8. God used the Roman emperor, Caesar

Augustus, to call for a census, forcing

everyone to make a trip to their home

city, so that every family could be

counted and charged taxes.

9. i. Mary is of the lineage of King David,

and she had to travel to David’s

city, Bethlehem, to be counted. and

the Son of David must be born in

David’s city.
