visible sign to follow, and the Holy Spirit as
the inward evidence to guide them along
their journey. In what ways have you
experienced both kinds of leading in your
life?
• The stubborn pride and jealous hatred of
the religious leaders did not allow them to
learn from “outsiders.” Is there anyone
God sent to you that you would rather not
learn from?
• The Jews were brought to ruin because
their twisted words came back to hurt
them. Is there a time in your life the very
words you uttered in condemning
someone came back the haunt and hurt
you?
