THE STORY OF THE SEER OF PATMOS

                                             Stephen N. Haskell

“Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at
                                              hand” Revelation 22:10.

preceding the final destruction of the world.

God loved His people then, and through the

darkness, His hand was leading. So it will be at

the sounding of the seventh trumpet. The

history of the fourth trumpet evidently covers

the events of a number of years; for the next

time the Roman Empire is brought to view, it

is presented as the persecuting power which

bore sway a thousand two hundred and three

               score years.

When the fourth angel had sounded, John

beheld another “angel flying through the

midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice,

Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth

by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of

the three angels, which are yet to sound!”
