“Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at
hand” Revelation 22:10.
Barbarian warfare is terrible; the crushing of
a nation calls out the armory of heaven, and
angels veil their faces from the scenes of
cruelty and bloodshed. But the false doctrines
which crush the sons of God, and the errors
which hide the righteousness of Christ, are
especially designated as woes. To these woes
the student of prophecy is next introduced.
