wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones
of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the
day that thou wast created, till iniquity was
found in thee.”
Then from this exalted place as covering
cherub, whose wings overspread the throne,
and through whom the eternal glory shone, he
fell through pride. “Thine heart was lifted up
because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy
wisdom by reason of thy brightness.” Jealous
of Christ, the only one united with the Father
in the councils of heaven, Satan raised
rebellion. This was the beginning of self-
exaltation, and all iniquity has since flowed
from this fountain head. “There was war in
