CHAPTER X. – THE BEGINNING OF WOES

The struggle between truth and error has

always been a bitter one. No great light has

ever shone upon the earth for which the

archenemy has not had a counterfeit,

containing enough of the truth to make it

palatable to those whose taste for spiritual

food is not the keenest; and yet, with all this,

God has used, these very deceptions, to reveal

the greatness of His love. The student of

prophecy should bear in mind that before

John was allowed to hear the trumpets, Christ

was presented as full of righteousness.
