               arise out of this empire. As already noticed in


               chapter  2,  Rome  was  divided  into  ten


               kingdoms, enumerated as follows: The Huns,


               the Ostrogoths, the Visigoths, the Franks, the


               Vandals,  the  Suevi,  the  Burgundians,  the



               Heruli, the Anglo-Saxons, and the Lombards.


               These divisions have ever since been spoken


               of as the ten kingdoms of the Roman empire.

               VERSE 8. I considered the horns, and, behold,


               there  came  up  among  them  another  little


               horn,  before  whom  there  were  three  of  the


               first  horns  plucked  up  by  the  roots;  and,


               behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of


               man, and a mouth speaking great things.
