even His own Son, and they have slain them

all. But at His coming they are slain by the

brightness of His countenance. Truth, when

allowed to shine forth in its strength,

consumes error, and the beast and the image

and the false prophet go into the lake of fire,

together with the Dragon, that old Serpent,

and Satan, who has inspired all against the

God of truth and love. This is the history, and

this is the end, of the union of Church and

State.
