Dear Revival Movement,
I am writing on behalf of our entire team in Burundi to express our heartfelt
gratitude for the literature and resources you have generously provided. These
materials have been instrumental in equipping our workers and volunteers,
empowering them to effectively evangelize and disciple he children we serve.
What has made these resources particularly valuable is that they are available
in Kirundi, a language that both our teachers and children in Burundi can fully
understand. This has greatly enhanced our ability to communicate spiritual truths
and has made a significant impact in our community.
The children have been more engaged and responsive, and our team has found
the materials to be an indispensable tool in their teaching efforts. We are deeply
appreciative of the effort and care that goes into producing these resources in a
language that resonates with our community.
In June 2024, as we prepared for TCE 2 in our Burundi office, a colleague asked
which Bible lessons we had available for the training. Almost instinctively,
I replied, “No worries, we can use Daniel or David. We now have options.” It was
at that moment we both paused, recognizing the profound progress we’ve made.
Not too long ago, planning for TCE 2 presented us with significant challenges.
Access to Bible lessons was limited and, when we did manage to find them, they
were often in English—a language that does not resonate with our French - and
Kirundi-speaking population. In a country where over 99% of the people prefer
Kirundi, English materials were a barrier rather than a resource.
Today, thanks to your generous support and provision, we are able to equip our
workers and volunteers with materials in Kirundi. This has not only eased the
burden of preparation but has also significantly enhanced the effectiveness of our
training programs. The impact is felt not only by our team but also by the children
we serve, who now receive God’s Word in a language they understand deeply.
We are profoundly grateful to the Revival Movement for this invaluable support.
Your commitment to providing resources in our native language has transformed
our ability to train and disciple effectively. Thank you for being a critical partner
in our mission to nurture and equip the next generation. Your contributions are
making a meaningful difference and we are truly grateful. May God bless you.
With sincere thanks,
Eva Nyawira
