[ NYSAPLS Board of Directors Meeting • September 15, 2023
Hilton Embassy Suites, Saratoga Springs, NY
Meeting called to order at 7:34 p.m. by President Roy Garfinkel I. Consent Calendar:
Minutes of the last Board of Directors meeting, Financial Reports, and Committee
Attendance: Reports/Minutes were included in the handouts distributed prior to the meeting
and are typically all moved under a Consent Calendar format. Motion to accept the
Association Officers: Consent Calendar was made by John Abruzzo, seconded by Saeid Jalilvand, all in
President Roy B. Garfinkel favor, none opposed, motion carried.

Secretary Scott B. Allen • Roy presented Tom Garber of Third Wave Films (producer and director of
the documentary film in production titled Creating the Erie Canal) with a

Ad hoc MTS Absent 311 members have not renewed yet. Each region was provided with a list of
LSPAC Absent unpaid members in their region. Directors were encouraged to reach out to
Ad hoc DOT Relations James Thew, Chair unpaid members.

Member Guests: Barbara Marvin – Auxiliary, Northern • The September issue of the Empire State Surveyor magazine has been sent out.
Other Guests: Tom Garber • Five regionals hosted the September 2nd Showing webinar. The next 2nd
Showing will be March 7th.
