direction of an Associate/Senior Surveyor.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for performing survey calculations, analysis and final
map checking, abstracting title data, record drawings research, and
client relations.
• Sign and seal survey documents when requested.
• Monitor projects from initiation through delivery, interfacing with
clients on technical matters.
• Work directly with project team members, to include licensed
professionals and other technical staff.
• Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds,
leases, or other legal documents.
Qualifications
• Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Requires advanced knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles,
techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
• Knowledge of ALTA/NSPS surveys is required and NYSDOT
procedures is preferred.
• Demonstrates intermediate to advanced skills in survey
processing software.
• Proficient in relevant technical software including AutoCAD Civil 3D,
Trimble Business Center, and/or equivalent. MicroStation experience
is a plus.
• Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic
total stations.
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment,
creativity, and innovation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or related
field preferred. Licensed by the State of New York in Land Surveying.
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience preferred.
