                                                            Field Dendrology for the Land Surveyor
                                                            (A Walk in the Woods)*

                                                            This field lab is directed toward the skill of identifying different tree
                                                            species that the New York State Land Surveyor would come into
                                                            contact with in the curse of preparing a survey. This is a companion
                                                            session of Dendrology for the Land Surveyor. The emphasis will be
                                                            placed on the application of the techniques discussed in the virtual
                                                            course. A hike around various State Parks will include stops at many

                                                            highlighted. We will practice the use of dichotomous keys to aid in
