CONCEPT OF WWW

The World Wide Web (WWW) is a

network of online content that is

formatted in HTML and accessed via

HTTP. The term refers to all the

interlinked HTML pages that can be

accessed over the Internet. The World

Wide Web is most often referred to

simply as "the Web."

WHY DO WE USE WWW

The technical reasons to use www primarily apply to the largest web sites

which receive millions (or more) of page views per day, web sites with a

large number of services across several subdomains, and virtually any web

site hosted in “the cloud” by an application service provider.

WWW stands for World Wide Web. In simple terms, The World Wide Web

is a way of exchanging information between computers on the Internet,

tying them together into a vast collection of interactive multimedia

resources. Internet and Web is not the same thing: Web uses internet to

pass over the information.
