HYPERLINK
The definition of a hyperlink is text
or an image within a file on your
computer that you can click on that
gives access to another document or
image. Words on a website that are
underlined and highlighted in blue
and that you can click on in order to open a new web page are
an example of a hyperlink.
Hyperlinks are the primary method used to navigate between pages and
Web sites. Links can point to other web pages, web sites, graphics, files,
sounds, e-mail addresses, and other locations on the same web page.
When text is used as a hyperlink, it is usually underlined and appears as
a different color.
Different types of hyperlinks there are three types of links that can be
used in a web page: relative, and site root relative, and absolute. Which
one is correct to use depends on the location of the page to which it links.
