Spring 2019
BELLA VISTA NEWS
Welcome
By Dr Charles Lo
Welcome to the Spring edition of our newsletter. They say that time Domenica making cookies
flies, when you are having fun! Yes, I have been here for five months
now. It has been a huge learning curve, i.e., learning new systems,
understanding processes and team culture.
Sadly, we farewelled Margaret Russell, Residential Services Manager,
last month and we wish her well. Instead we gained Sarina Rodgers
who stepped in Margaret’s role. Sarina’s title is Residential Services
and Relations Manager. We congratulate Sarina and I am sure she
will do well in her new position. We also would like to welcome
Rachel Yalibau as our new Client Services Coordinator at Reception.
Visit by the Kings School
It was fun attending my first Bella Vista Gardens event, the
Everything Elvis. I was just as surprised as most of you that it was a
female Elvis. I had to laugh when we received a feedback from a
relative suggesting that I should be the “Elvis” and dress up. Well,
that’s not a bad suggestion. I may surprise you next time but you
know I don’t have too, as we already have an Elvis (our Chef) on
board. I may ask him to dress up instead of me. I am looking forward
to the next event, Jazz on the Green on 8 September. I hope you can
all make it.
Congratulations to Shiro Chetty who won our staff Standing Ovation
Lydia taking part in craft
Award for July. Shiro brought a bunch of roses from her garden and
gave a rose to each to the residents in Frangipani. I am proud of our
team and we are united in providing care and services to our
residents. I know there is always room for improvement so if you
have any suggestions, please let me know.
Warmest regards
