Winter 2017
LANSDOWNE NEWS
Welcome
By Janine Holden
C
Coming into winter and my how the time passes quickly, it has
been twelve months since I joined the wonderful and
dedicated team here at Lansdowne Gardens. The past year has Peggy at the Blue Mountains
been filled with many amazing occasions and I am looking
forward to everything the next twelve months will bring. Our
Leisure & Lifestyle Team continues to do an exceptional job
with the delivery of the highest possible programs for our
residents, none more evident than the recent venture out to
Vivid. With an absolutely bursting calendar of events over the
next three months I am certain all our residents will be
delighted with the choices on offer. Property Services are to be
commended with the finalisation of the new window boxes at
Wycombe Road and how fantastic they now look as well as the
new furniture and gardens on the entertaining deck for the
Camelia residents. What an enjoyable and refreshing area this
is now and what a benefit it offers residents and their families,
I look forward to the commencement of the BBQs and the Robert at 'Orchids out West'
wafting aromas of sizzling sausages and onions.
With the onset of winter, it is time for all of us to stay well and
make sure we limit exposure from external flus and colds to
our residents. As such, I urge you to refrain from visiting if you
are not feeling the best or suspect you are suffering with
influenza, let's keep our wonderful people as well as possible
over the next few months.
So it’s chilly and cold, especially for the old
We need hot soup and socks, not shorts and frocks
I’ll bring out the doona, turn the heat up sooner
For hibernation is here, time for a wine or a beer
Residents at Vivid Sydney
Stay warm and well.
