Recognising Our Staff
Meet our CEO, Lee Carissa
Thank you for the support I’ve received in my first
month as Chief Executive Officer at Cranbrook Care.
I started nursing as a carer 31 years ago and then
trained to be a Registered Nurse which I have been
now for 26 years, working in various roles including
Care Manager, Director of Care, Quality & Education
and Operations. Over the last four years I have led
the clinical teams at Cranbrook Care including the
biggest challenge we have ever faced, the safety and
protection of our residents against COVID‐19.
I am very passionate about the care and service
delivered to our residents. At Cranbrook Care we
strive for exceptional wellbeing for our residents,
physical and emotional security, and excellence in
both our built environment and our service. I also
believe that we need to strive to provide a great
workplace for all our staff, where they feel
supported and empowered through training and
education.
Strengthening corporate governance and clinical
leadership are just two of the many reforms
required in the transformation of the Aged Care
sector post the Royal Commission into Aged Care.
Both are crucial in ensuring quality care, service and
support to our residents, our families, and our
valued staff in the future. I look forward to working
with everyone to continue to achieve this.
Each year our staff nominate three of their
peers for a Limelight Award. With bragging
rights and $500 in recognition of living the
Cranbrook Care Values awarded to each of
the recipients. Congratulations to our
Limelight Winners for 2021.
Judith Gentile
Judith is a gentle soul, who’s caring nature
is very evident. Judith goes above and
beyond for the residents, to ensure that
their needs and wants are meet, and the
residents have stated that they know that
they can rely on her for anything they
require.
Romel Necesario
Romel is conscientious and intuitive. He
displays a passion for aged care, which
shines through every day he is at William
Cape Gardens. Romel is an amazing
person who gives his all to every resident
in his care, he excels in his personal care
and support, and he treats residents and
staff with respect.
Leesha Sparrow
Leesha presents a bright and bubbly
persona, and her presence lifts the spirits
of both the residents and her team. With
a smile on her face, Leesha just tackles
and takes everything in her stride,
ensuring the residents are always happy.
