WILLIAM CAPE NEWS

Welcome

In the coming months William Cape Gardens will be
celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The first resident
entered William Cape Gardens on 24th September 2007 and Staff celebrating at our 10th Anniversary party
the residence was officially opened the following year by the
then Minister for Ageing, Justine Elliott on the 29th October
2008. Since that time we have provided care to
approximately 1000 residents.

Together with our building there are some of our staff who
will also be celebrating 10 years of service with William Cape
Gardens later this year. We recognised and congratulated
these five staff on their 10th year of service at our
Masquerade Anniversary Ball held recently. These staff are:

Gwen (Personal Carer in Elm),
Nilda (Team Leader in Acacia/Banksia)

Natalie (Team Leader in Daffodil)
Josephine (Personal Carer in Daffodil)
Christine (Personal Carer in Elm/Frangipani)

We are pleased to introduce you to Taryn Robinson who will
be commencing during September in the role of Clinical Care
Manager. Taryn has been a Registered Nurse for over 25
years and brings with her a wealth of experience in aged care
gained through previous clinical leadership and management
roles. I’m sure Taryn looks forward to meeting you all and
building strong care partnerships with our residents and
families in the coming months. I would like this opportunity
to remind our residents and families that I am always happy
to meet with you to discuss any concerns you may have. Please

see me.
