Summer 2017
WILLIAM CAPE NEWS
Welcome
By Cathy Blomquist
Welcome to our Summer Newsletter. Another year has flown
by and we are again looking forward to the Christmas season
and all that it brings – lots of food, fun festivities and family
time.
Wadalba kids participate in activities with residents
Shortly we will be asking our families if you could please let
us know if you are intending on taking your loved one out on
Christmas Day or over the celebration period. You are also
welcome to join your loved one for our Christmas Day lunch
at William Cape Gardens. Advanced notice will allow us to
plan our staffing and catering requirements for the day.
We have identified that some of our residents and families
have not participated in a care conference over the past 12
months. Care conferences are offered annually and are one
of the ways we can work as care partners with you to achieve
a coordinated and informed approach to care. Our new
Clinical Care Manager, Taryn Robinson, will be contacting The Lost Bonkers performance
families in the coming weeks to offer a care conference and
arrange a mutually convenient time with you for this to
occur. Together with you during the care conference, Taryn
will review the current care plan, consult with you to
establish goals of care and identify any possible areas for
improvement. Should you wish to speak with Taryn or myself
at any time please contact Taryn or Linda who will be able to
assist you.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our residents,
families, friends and staff a very Merry Christmas and a happy
and healthy New Year. Yvonne & Lillian decorating the Christmas tree
With warm wishes,
Cathy Blomquist, Director of Care Services
