When you're supporting homeownership, you're supporting a family's entire well-being. Families who own
their homes statistically earn more, do better in school, and go on to complete higher levels of education.
Habitat programs do not give families homes, we give families the opportunity to build their homes.

V O L U N T E E R S H O U R S

Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our
organization and the support of volunteer labor is
crucial in our mission to build affordable housing
solutions. Volunteers make the difference by choosing
to pick up a hammer and change a family's life. Often,
volunteers gain as much or more from the building
experience than the families they partner with.
Amongst our volunteers, is our core group of
volunteer leaders, the Build Crew Chiefs. This
volunteer force provides us with a never ending

source of motivation, selflessness and empowerment STRENGTH
for everyone on the jobsite.

Our Home Repair program is part of a nationwide
effort through Habitat for Humanity to help low-
income homeowners maintain their homes in spite of
financial difficulty. Most qualified applicants are
elderly, have a disability, or are veterans who live
on a fixed or very limited income. Many are forced
to delay or are unable to perform maintenance
creating an unsafe living condition.
