TATIANA BAEVA earned her M.A. and Ph.D from
Voronezh State University in Voronezh, Russia.
She was the Deputy of the Department of
Intercultural Communications at the Academy of
Public Administration in Voronezh, where she
organized an international conference for the
use of innovation and technology in education.
She has taught Philology, Russian Literature in
English and Russian, World Literature,
Linguistics, Translation and English to Russian
speakers.

In the fall of 2006, Tatiana joined the faculty of
the Department of Modern Languages of The
University of Texas at Arlington, where she
currently teaches Russian Language and Russian
Literature in translation. She is the literary
editor for the Russian language periodical Listiya
(Leaves).

Tatiana is also the Director of Russian
Operations for Allies in Youth Development, a
non-profit organization helping Russian orphans.
