CHRIS FERRIN
started playing piano in third grade when his mother suggested it
as a hobby to cope with his frustration and boredom. His first
"real" teacher was Patrick Lee Hébert in Hooksett, New
Hampshire, followed by Jayne Kelly in Concord, Massachusetts. At

the time of composing and recording these original pieces, Chris
was 17 years old and had been playing piano for 9-10 years.

Chris recalls that when he was in his 4th or 5th year of playing, he
looked forward to being 17-20 because he thought he would
really start to improve. He idealized those years as being
significant without knowing why.

One of the reasons Chris kept playing piano was his desire to learn
Moonlight Sonata. The first movement came to him quickly - but
it took him many more years to even begin playing the third
movement. Chris thinks he has a lot of room for improvement and
there's a lot more to come.

Some of Chris’ favorite piano pieces are, Debussy's "Reverie" and
"Clair de Lune", Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C# Minor Op. 3 No. 2,
Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata, Chopin's Waltz in C# Minor Op.
64 No. 2 and his Waltz in B minor Op. 69 No. 2.
