PETER
FULTON was raised on early American poets and was
inspired by Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood to write and
then perform his first verse drama in the ‘60’s entitled
Death of a Worn Man with Bruce Burnside on guitar and
Dan Cole on harmonica.

He also wrote and performed songs in Boston coffee
houses, many of which were woven into his novella and
cassette tape (yes tape) Silicon in Sand.

Eventually, Peter turned to his lifelong friend, sculptor
Mac Coleman, for advice. Their collaboration led to
Peter’s writing and performing How to Carve an Angel at
the International Poetry Festival in Swansea, Wales, the
Democracy Center in Harvard Square under the auspices
of the Grolier Poetry Bookshop and, more recently, at the
rd
3 International Poetry Festival at Binghamton University
SUNY and at Stony Brook SUNY.

Peter’s current focus is on multi-media performance
poetry.
