BY MARSHALL MCPHERSON, FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

This fall, I am really excited about

the direction of the wine program.

I am the first to admit I have made
some big changes to our wine list.

I’ve taken away some big winery names and replaced
them with some smaller houses. This is a positive
change for the Club. The new offerings I am bringing,
such as Ontario wineries Stratus and Big Head–along
with Booker from Paso Robles, CA–are wines from craft
winemakers that are thinking of you.

If you are nervous about trying something new, why not
come to one of our biweekly tastings? We are tasting
your non-traditional wines and learning about where
they originate. This is a great way to discover more
about the wine-making process at local–and global–
wineries. By adding these new discoveries to our cellar,
we are growing our wine list into a diverse and exciting
program. My hope is to make our wine list fluid, while
keeping some usual favourites on the shelves. No
matter the vintage or the variety, my goal is always
to help Members find a wine you love and maybe
something new and different you can show off to your
          friends and family. Cheers!
