Uluru, Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Walpa Gorge
Also known as Uluru, Ayers Rock is a massive sandstone monolith that towers above the surrounding landscape. It is sacred to Indigenous Australians and is part of the Uluru- Kata Tjuta National Park that also includes the 36 red rock domes of the Kata Tjuta. Your clients will be dazzled by the changing color of Uluru at sunrise and sunset.
DAY 1: Ayers Rock (Uluru)
Arrive Ayers Rock, transfer to the hotel by courtesy shuttle bus of the resort. Accommodation.
Join the seat-in-coach Uluru Sunset tour. Travel to the Uluru sunset view- ing area. Enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of color for which Uluru is famous. Remember your
camera! It is recommended to photo- graph Uluru every 5 minutes to really capture the gradual changes of the rock. Tour concludes approximately 30 minutes after sunset, at which time hotel drop offs will commence
DAY 2: Ayers Rock (Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Walpa Gorge)
Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee as the first rays of sunlight slowly change the color of Uluru. Then travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, where the trail follows the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formation. Transfer from hotel to Ayers Rock airport, using the courtesy shuttle bus of the resort (Flight not included) [B]
