What is your goal for the students participating in the Yamaha class band?
I love when students have their instruments for the first time, they watch them and touch all the
keys, they start a relationship with the new instrument and the magic begins.
First of all, my goal is to help students to improve their musical skills; but I think that ClassBand
is special because students can experience music from their first lesson.
They can play together, help each other, share difficulties and goals, so they will not only impro-
ve their musical skills, but also their social skills.
What do you think is the added value of a Yamaha class band?
I think one of the added values of ClassBand is that the method lets students make music from
the first lesson and to achieve goals quickly, always in a fun way.
But the most important, I think, is the social value.
ClassBand gives the opportunity to make performances and concerts from the first year, and
this is a big goal and allows students to improve their self-confidence, but also is an occasion
for getting to know new people, new places, and makes new experiences that open your mind.
ClassBand is much more than a music class!
What would you like to learn yourself?
I am very happy, as a ClassBand Key teacher, to have met many beautiful teachers from Italy and
Europe, and I’ve learned so much from all of them and I’ve grown as a teacher.
Now my personal goal is to become more confident with the clarinet, and for the next year to
start a new ClassBand in the public elementary school.
Would you like to say something
to your European colleagues?
Spread the word about ClassBand!
Sharing our personal experience is
the best way to expand the Yama-
ha Class band family, and let more
students live this amazing experi-
ence.
