work and family, Richard continues as a church warden at St Helen’s Bishopsgate, a trustee of Jesus College Boat Club and has a few other “extra curricular" roles when time allows. OO highlights this year have included seeing more of James Ginns (Sc 87), who is back from Hong Kong for a few years in London. James arranged a get-together with James Napier (G 87) and Charles Hammon (Sn 87), and they enjoyed seeing familiar faces after far too long. Richard also often crosses the paths of Gavin Allen (B 87), of BBC fame, and Matthew Sargaison (B 87) (co-CEO of a large investment fund), Tim Piper (B 57) at Tallow Chandlers events and – naturally – his father, Peter Tett (B 58).
Asha McLoughlin (W 03) reports that she was maid of honour for Isabel Vinton (W 03) in August 2017. Isabel had a beautiful wedding in upstate New York, where she now lives with her husband, Jesse.
Tiffany Lo (N 01) has been busy and after nearly a decade in London working for chefs including Pierre Koffmann, Eric Chavot, Phil Howard and Michel Roux Jr., she has taken up the opportunity to join the opening team of La Petite Maison Hong Kong as sous-chef. She is looking forward to returning to her home city, cooking chef Raphael Duntoye’s food.
Kate Robinson (W 93), her husband, Paul, and children Joshua (3), Benjamin (2) and Lily (6 months) moved onto their newly-built houseboat in Putney in September 2016. They had a year of living on the boat full time, which had its challenges, but is the most beautiful spot if central London is a necessity. They moved back out to Surrey for Joshua to start school in September 2017, but still stay on the boat fairly regularly. Joshua has just finished reception and is in the same class as – and firm friends with – Nick Atkins’ (C 99) daughter, Anjali. Kate is sending this update from a camper van in Alaska, where they are on summer hols with friends from Australia!
Tom Miller (Ldr 07) reports that he married Lucy Mason on 9th June 2018 in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, and they now live in Wandsworth, London.
Harry Gibson (S 02) is specialising in obstetrics and maternal medicine at

St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He and his family have moved from Islington to Little Gaddesden in Hertfordshire, following the birth of their second son, Barnaby.
Guy Beresford (B 81) has had another busy year on the OO front, as he continues to see large numbers of OOs, especially at OO Golfing Society matches and events. A particular pleasure this year was to partner Al Stuart (B 84) in the OOGS v Old Haileyburians match at Denham in May – the pair having not seen each other since Guy left Bramston in ’81. Guy has recently returned from a couple of days in Sussex with the Oundle Rovers cricket tour, during which he arranged a golf match against some Old Uppinghamian cricketers in Eastbourne on 11th July. He was delighted that the ‘home’ team included new OO Jago Phuchanaraksakurl (St A 18). Guy is pleased to report that the match finished in an honourable draw and is hoping to add further golf matches to the tour next year.
Jonathan Bach (Lx 75) is now directing a small teacher training organisation after years as Headmaster of several inner London secondary schools. As he ages gracefully, he spends more time playing tennis, skiing and going on wildlife-focused holidays, and enjoyed catching up with fellow OO tennis players in London in June. Rivalry with his two younger brothers is less intense after 50+ years.
Roger Bach (Lx 77) continues to head a small foreign exchange broker, which involves multiple visits to Dubai, where he catches up with James Mackenzie (G 86). He has resumed his tennis career with a view to teaching his children some old-style guile. Jonathan and Roger’s youngest brother, Stephen Bach (Lx 81), has been appointed the First Executive Dean of the new King’s College London Business School, a worthy culmination of an outstanding academic career. This has included leading several EU- funded research projects on the consequences of austerity and the role of service users in shaping human resource management practice, as well as acting as an advisor to the International Labour Office, Migration Advisory Committee, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Scottish Office and the World Health Organisation. Whilst his free time has become more limited, he continues to enjoy skiing and transforming his garden.
Christopher Pocock (Sc 60) reports that on 13th December 2017 the hedonistic band of OO Sunshine Luncheon Club members returned to the Royal Automobile Club to celebrate yet another year. It was generally agreed that they were all holding up rather well mainly due to the hardship of their School years. Those present at the luncheon were: John Westcombe (St A 60), Sir Richard Gibbs (St A 59), Charles Kilner (St A 59), David
