THE OUTER RING: 8 THINKING LENSES
These are the ways you play with problems and ideas. They help you activate and stretch your
inner engines. Think of these as your thinking verbs - what you do with your mental energy.
1 DIAGNOSE What’s going on here? What matters most?
2 ORGANIZE How do I bring order and direction?
3 REASON What patterns, logic or facts explain this?
4 FORECAST What might happen next? How do I stay ahead?
5 SYNTHESIZE What are the deeper themes or takeaways?
6 SPARK How can I inspire, energise or reframe this?
7 IMAGINE What else could this be? What if?
8 EXPLORE What haven’t I thought of yet? What’s on the edge?
               DIAL IT, DON’T DEFINE IT
This isn’t about being one type of thinker. It’s about learning to dial between them - to move
between modes as the moment needs.
Ø You might lead with Empathy but need Logic to back it up.
Ø You might overuse Critical and forget to Spark.
Ø You might avoid Systems but secretly thrive in Forecast.
The goal is to build a thinking identity that’s flexible, aware and self-directed.
HOW TO PLAY - Here’s how to begin using the Agile Thinker Dial as your reinvention tool:
                   · Name your default modes. What feels easiest or most natural?
                   · Notice your blind spots. Which lenses do you avoid?
                   · Switch your frame. Next time you're stuck, ask: “Which lens would help here?”
                   · Co-create. Pair your thinking with someone different. Agility expands when minds meet.
                   · Reflect in motion. Use the Dial to analyse decisions, reframe challenges, or guide your
                       journaling.
               WHY IT MATTERS
In an AI-infused world, your thinking is your edge. This Dial helps you grow it, use it, and lead with
it. Not just critical thinking. Not just creative thinking. Agile thinking because that’s what the
               future demands.
