Direction and focus – Be visible, manage by walking
around (MBWA), set a course for the business (vision,
goals, strategy) and the focus/ priorities (business

1 agenda). Provide clarity by simply communicating the
business strategy and agenda to multiple audiences to
achieve alignment and consensus. Get them to
collaborate on designing and delivering the strategy with
you. Then move forward getting people involved, keeping
them informed and aligned by sharing stories, decisions,
knowledge and ideas. Also introduce and communicate
change as necessary.
