Chunking and small consistent steps
SETTING Once you have developed the details for each goal - you then create your Battle

Board of 12 actionable steps by chunking down to what it will take to achieve the
YOUR goal. This also gives the benefit of identifying the steps and milestones along the
way that will to get you to your outcome. Plan for things you can do in small
steps – if you consistently do lots of small things it compounds and adds up over
GOALS time to significant progress. Get your Post-it notes out. Brainstorm as many
actions to achieve the goal as possible. Then collate similar things together,
eradicate the unnecessary, prioritise the final 12 and find that first step to take
                                                  action on. Then do it!

                                                  Setting yourself up to win

Our goal setting template asks ‘What do you need to do to set you up to win’. It
is one of the most important questions you can ask – how can you prepare so
that you help yourself succeed? What obstacles might prevent you from achieving
this goal? What can you do now to remove them or reduce their impact? Do you
have the resources you need? Who do you need to involve? Is your environment
ideal to achieve the goal? How can you keep yourself motivated along the way?
Do you need an accountability partner?

Who do you need to be?

The other crucial question is ‘Who do you need to be to achieve this goal?’ To
deliver on your dreams and goals you will need to change your mindset, your
behaviours, your habits, your skillset, what you focus on daily and the actions you
take. Look at the vision or outcome you want and consider when it is achieved
what will you need to think, feel, say and do? or ‘Have, Do and Be’? How can you
begin being this person now, having those things and doing those actions? What
do you say yes to, no to, do less of and do more of? What habits would help? The
nearer you can get to being this person the more chance you have of achieving
that goal and those dreams. Do not expect to stay the same and get the change
                                                  you want.
