Yes, some doors are closing, but there are more systems that are
going online that give us access to data at a faster rate. So, you
look at these businesses that if they can turn things around
faster and cheaper, that’s what’s driving the price down. So, you
got Artificial Intelligence, you have automation that’s providing
information quicker, there’s less overhead on their end. So yeah,
you say ‘I used to charge $5, but now I can charge $2.50 and still
make money on it, and still make the same profit’, that’s the
entrepreneur in me that sees that. And being an investigator,
you have to be sensitive to that, you have to know these things
may happen and you need to adapt to it. Being an investigator,
staying on top of technology, knowing the tools, and knowing
what is available, that will help you survive.
I think the word for 2020 was “pivot.” The word for 2021 is
“adapt.” And the word for 2022 is “enough already,” lol…
