Pause and fast forward Together we stand
Agony and pain Through this strange time
Could not describe this horrible year Just remember that
Loved ones are lost We’re all in this boat
And it’s never hit harder
Heartbroken we are That seems we cannot leave
But eventually
Riots galore for a young black man We fight back
Killed with no hesitation But just remember that
“#BLM”
“I can’t breathe!” We do all we can
“Colour is NOT a weapon!” To protect others
Down on our knees as we seek justice And of course ourselves
Do the best you can
Pause and fast forward Just remember that.
So I can catch a breather

Step by step we shall make it through

As much pain we are in
We must stay strong for each other
Schools are shut
Even the biggest shops too
The struggle is hard I know
But together we are stronger
We can beat the virus
