Find the HCF and LCM of 0.72, 1.44 and 0.18
Solution:
Write the numbers without the decimal. The numbers are 72, 144, and 18
72= 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3
144 = 2 ×2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3
18 = 2 × 3 × 3
The HCF of 72, 144, and 18 = 2 × 3 × 3 = 18 And, the HCF of 0.72, 1.44 and 1.8 = 0.18
The LCM of 72, 144, and 18 = 144
And, the LCM of 0.72, 1.44 and 1.8 = 1.44
