"Brian's reputation for leadership and integrity
reached me long before we met. As a fellow chief
business official, my predecessor held him in high
regard, frequently seeking his insights on various
          challenges.
Though we would exchange pleasantries, I truly got to
know Brian while serving on the AASBO Executive
Board, where I had the privilege of being part of the
team that recommended him as the Executive Director
of AASBO. From day one, his calm, compassionate,
and uplifting presence stood out. Before discussing
business, he always took the time to ask about my
wife and kids, about work, about life—showcasing
his deep care for people beyond the professional
setting. No matter the challenge, he had a way of
putting others at ease with his signature reassurances:
"It’s all going to work out" or "It’s going to be okay."
His unwavering support and encouragement were
matched only by his deep commitment to developing
leaders—whether in the workplace, at home, or in the
          community.
Brian was a man of remarkable strength, faith, and
love. His devotion to his family and his steadfast
belief in God were truly inspiring. More than just
a trusted colleague, he was a cherished friend, and
I will forever treasure the laughter and meaningful
conversations we shared. As an advocate for the
school business profession, he led with integrity,
a strong moral compass, and a passion for service. lives he touched and the leaders he helped shape. I

myself? Brian was authentic and open to continuous
feedback while also working to seek the best out of
people – even if they did not see it in themselves.
As Arizona’s first President of ASBO International,
Brian took great pride in the association, the
profession, and the opportunities it provided to
connect with others. His leadership and impact will
continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
To me, Brian will always be remembered as humorous,
humble, and honorable. Those fortunate enough to
know him, work alongside him, and learn from him
are better because of it. His legacy lives on in the
