        AASBO offers three professional development courses this summer as part of the association’s
        Educational Program curriculum. These four-day courses are open to anyone who has an interest in
        school business management. For the summer of 2019, AASBO is pleased to offer several options.
        The dates for all three classes are July 14-17, 2019. Classes begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:30 pm
        each day.

        All AASBO Education Classes consist of 32 clock hours of instruction.  For enrollment and registration

        The following four-day courses will be offered this summer just prior to the start of the AASBO
        66th Annual Conference and Exposition:
        Advanced Budget & Finance
        This class is intended for Business Administrative and Finance Personnel who have overall financial
        responsibility for their organization’s budget and long term financial health. The class will focus
        on concepts and issues that require previous experience in this area. Prerequisite: Basic AASBO
        Budget & Finance class and/or two years school budget and finance experience.

        Purchasing
        This course provides the student with a working knowledge of the principles, processes, and re-
        quirements of school district procurement and materials management. The student will be pro-
        vided with an overview of the rules, regulations, and statutes that apply to school district procure-
        ment. Through lecture and practical application, the student will gain knowledge and experience
        that will transfer directly to the school business office.

        Maintenance & Operations
        Participants will be provided with an overview of the responsibilities associated with maintenance
        and operations departments and activities.

        Classes will be $175.00 and includes continental breakfast. If registra-
        tion is received less than 10 days prior to the first day of class, the fee
        is $185.00.


        A Block will be reserved at Casino Del Sol Resort for Educational Classes. Reserva-
        tions must be made by June 22, 2019.
