CAST & CREW
ANNOUNCER DAN FOWLIE
Dan Fowlie, announcer for the 2019 Santiam County Stampede has been the voice of the Ram Turquoise Circuit Finals twice and four times selected to announce the prestigious Benny Binion bucking horse and bull sale during the Wrangler National Finals. Also twice selected to announce the CBS sports nationally televised Scottsdale Wrangler Champions Challenge. He is familiar to rodeo competitors and fans alike. Dan, a contestant himself rodeoed his way through college at Eastern Arizona college in Thatcher, competing in the steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc and bull riding events. Dan began announcing at rodeos to subsidize his fees as a contestant. Although he still competes in the team roping, an injury in the steer wrestling in 1998 allowed him to refocus his rodeo efforts and channel his talent to the announcer stand.
HOWELL RODEO COMPANY
Jerry and Debra feel that rodeo is great family entertainment for the entire family and strives to keep their company a family run operation. We believe strongly in production. Our shows run on time and in a timely matter so to keep the fans entertained but not detained too long. Bulls have been a real strong point of Howell Rodeo Co. for many years. We have had and now have many award winning bulls. At one point
we had the Bull of the Year for 10 years running. We have won awards
not only here in the Northwest, but also back in Oklahoma at the
International Finals.
Jerry has been on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Pro Rodeo
Assn. many times in the past, and now Dusty is on the board. Debra
has been voted to Secretary and Time the Finals many times. As well
as teaching the Secretary and Timers school for the Northwest Pro Rodeo Assn. Both daughters, Lisa and Jennifer have also been voted to Time the Finals in the past several times.
INSTANT REPLAY BOARD
Partner - Siegmund Excavation / Allied Rock, LLC
The stampede is very fortunate to have Siegmund Excavation & Allied
Rock sponsor the video board. Fans are able to see what happens behind
the chutes prior to nodding for eight seconds! and that’s not all, as fans
you get to watch it twice with instant replay.
The Stampede has always had a digital score board to keep the fans
informed, first the amber board, then we stepped up to the color board,
so going to the video board is our next logical step. We are excited to
bring the video board to the Stampede Fans, it adds to the rodeo experience for them. The video board is more than a score board; it comes with camera and production crews. Fans can expect to see scoring and timing, a leader board, opening ceremonies, and instant replay. The instant replay will allow fans to catch all the action of the great rides and the wrecks too. Plus the fans will get to see down into the bucking shoots and see what a cowboy experiences as he gets ready to ride.
