BEHOLD THEIR THREATENINGS! even in today’s world. Our experience will not be different from those of the apostles and other believers before us. We may face different degrees of opposition but we surely will face opposition or threats if we are serious about serving God and are committed to declaring His word. If those who have gone ahead of us craved for prayers to enjoy open doors to preach the word, we will also need similar prayers. Not only that, we need to pray such prayers for those whom we know to be called by God to preach the word. They do not have to ask us to pray for them before we take on that responsibility. From Scriptures, we know that those called to preach the word of God would especially need prayers to enable them succeed in their assignment. That is taking spiritual responsibility and God will be proud of us for doing that. Now, is this one of your prayer points? Have you ever taken it upon yourself, without prompting by anybody or the church, to pray for servants of God at the forefront of preaching the word of God. I am not talking about praying for God to provide for material needs but about praying for them to be empowered with boldness to preach the word. I am talking about praying for their protection from unreasonable and wicked men. 51.
