BULLSEYE PRAYERS troubled because they had been put in place long before the day of trouble. This is what our commitment to praying that the will of God be done in our lives puts in place for us. Your Will Be Done When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He expressly stated as a matter of topmost priority, that the will of God be done and His kingdom should come. Let us recap what we have called the Lord’s prayer from Luke 11:2-4, Luke 11:2-4 NKJV So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. \[3\] Give us day by day our daily bread. \[4\] And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.” This prayer taught by Jesus to His disciples (including us) shows that Jesus was used to praying that the Father’s will be done in His walk in life. To imagine that He had expressly included this line in the prayer shows that He was used to praying in that manner 62.
