PRESIDENT'S PAGE
Thank you
for trusting me.
Thank you for
helping the TPCBA
grow and for
humoring my raffle
basket dreams.
Thank you for
making space for
me to grow along
the way.
Passing the Gavel with Gratitude, Laughter,
When I stepped into the role
of President my mission
was simple: help the Bar
grow. And yes, I also dreamed of
organizing epic raffle baskets (maybe
battles…). What I didn’t expect was
to grow so profoundly: personally,
professionally, and in ways that stretched
me, challenged me, and surprised me. I
didn’t realize I’d gain mentors, friends,
and a support network that made me a
better human. But here we are and I am
humbled beyond words.
After a year of growth, teamwork and
more “Reply All” emails than anyone
should endure, it’s time to hand the
gavel to someone extraordinary: Nina
Caldwell.
Nina: Our Self-Proclaimed
‘Positive Patty’
If encouragement were caffeine, Nina
would be a quadruple espresso. The year
ahead will be full of joy, excitement, and
enough positivity to light up downtown
Tacoma.
Celebrating the
Board and Liaisons
The Board
Nina “Radiates Confidence You
Didn’t Know You Had” Caldwell:
the ultimate cheer captain, turning
self-doubt into superpowers and
every meeting into an energizing
pep rally.
Laura “Problem-Solver With a
Side of Humor” Groves: if there’s a
puzzle, Laura’s already solved it and
made you laugh along the way.
Brad “The Calm Behind the Cash”
Hashimoto: keeping our finances
balanced, our stress minimized,
and our spreadsheets impossibly
organized.
Cathie “Grace Under Pressure,
Heart of Gold” Case: the steady
hand that anchors us in chaos and
reminds us why kindness matters.
Jessica “Smart, Steady, and
Showing Up Strong” Campbell:
our rock of reliability, insight, and
occasional snark (the good kind).
Michelle “Let’s Do What Lawyers
Do and Protect People” Luna:
she proves that empathy isn’t a
weakness, it’s a winning edge.
Patrick “Quiet Power, Big Impact”
Brown: making meaningful change
without the spotlight and proving
every day that actions speak louder
than words.
Sven “On It Before I Even Finish
the Sentence” Nelson: the human
embodiment of efficiency, foresight,
and getting things done.
David “Pushes You to Greatness,
then Cheers the Loudest” Snell:
the tough-love cheerleader who
challenges you, supports you, and
never lets you settle.
These people lifted me, humored
me, challenged me, and occasionally
reminded me to leave the inbox alone.
I am better because of them. Our Bar is
better because of them.
Shout-Out to Our Liaisons
Our liaisons are the connectors. The
challengers. The reality-checkers. The
people who make sure we don’t drift off
into lawyer-land without remembering
the real world.
Brenna Quinlan, New & Young
Lawyers: energy, honesty, and a
little youthful magic. Brenna keeps
us sharp, honest, and just young
enough to pretend we know the
latest trends. She reminds us that
fresh perspectives are the secret
ingredient to growth.
