What is the best advice you have for new lawyers? Learning to practice law is hard. It takes practice! You will make mistakes; seek input and advice from others.
How do you create work/life balance? My children force me to create balance.

Who is your hero and why?
My children. They endured the pandemic and at the same time watched me become a solo parent; they didn’t just survive, they thrived.
What is the most important thing you have learned as an attorney? I don’t know everything and there isn’t always a clear answer.

Have designated work spaces/hours and designated home spaces/ hours and don’t mx them. Put life and self- care before the job.
What would you like to be remembered for? Standing up for what’s right, even if it’s unpopular

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
What is your favorite food and restaurant? Crab legs. Seafood.

Michelle Obama. She’s a rock star.

You can never truly understand what someone else is going through, so give them grace and don’t judge.

I try to remind myself that the work will still be there, when I get back.

Fred Korematsu. He was a patriot and stood up for what he knew was right, despite the consequences.
What is the most important thing you have learned as an attorney? Learn from as many people as you can, but ultimately, you are the one who has to make the argument. So remember to be yourself.
