Several sea mammals mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and die from
internal blockages.
It has been estimated that plastic debris kills over 100,000 large marine
mammals and over 10 million sea birds die annually

Major Marine Pollutants – Pesticides and Fertilizers runoffs from Agricultural
fields
Many of these pollutants (organophosphorous / carbamate
anticholinesterases pesticides) are released into the marine environment
far upstream from coastlines. These are extremely toxic compounds used
to control agricultural pest, however, in the aquatic environment, non-
targeted organisms are equally poisoned.
