 Several sea mammals mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and die from
                 internal blockages.
 It has been estimated that plastic debris kills over 100,000 large marine
mammals and over 10 million sea birds die annually

Major Marine Pollutants – Pesticides and Fertilizers runoffs from Agricultural
          fields
 Many of these pollutants (organophosphorous / carbamate
anticholinesterases pesticides) are released into the marine environment
far upstream from coastlines. These are extremely toxic compounds used
to control agricultural pest, however, in the aquatic environment, non-
                 targeted organisms are equally poisoned.
