THE HAUGTHY ELEPHANT
The fox lumbered up along the riverbank to find
out the intruder. Upstream, he saw a lion wading and
rolling in a pond.
“Mr. Lion,” he said, panting. “There is a message
for you from our king,”
The lion stared at the fox. “I am the only king in
this jungle. Who could be claiming to be the other
king?”
“It’s Mr. Elephant,” said the fox, extending out
his arms. “He orders you not to muddy the stream.
He is having a bath.”
“I am taking a bath too,” roared the lion.
“It would be wiser for you to leave this water
right away, or else…”
The lion quietly walked away from the stream.
