Eugene Bend Knot
This knot comes to us by way of a recommendation from a fishing-line
manufacturer, namely Berkley. They make the lines, test the strength of
the lines, and they constantly test knots tied with the lines. The Eugene
Bend Knot works in monofilament and fluorocarbon when you have more
stiffness to work with, making the loop wraps easier.
1. Pass the tag end of the tippet or leader through the hook eye and
make a long loop above the line, as shown here.
2. Wrap the loop around the standing line four times.
3. Bring the tag end through the loop at the end of your wraps.
4. Moisten and carefully draw the knot tight. Clip the tag end.
